I am not tocrazy about going over bridges...and certainly wouldn't want to go over these.[8D]

I actually saw something on Discovery Channel about that third picture. Not that I remember much on it except that it was build that way for ships to cross over and I can't remember the reason why they couldn't build it up.

 

My daily commute includes a bridge that is 200 feet about the water at its highest point.

But thats nothing compared to the Millau Viaduct in France. 800 feet above ground at its highest point!

Never saw a bridge turned into a roundabout...............neat. Useless for where it's at...............but neat!

 

I accidently went into the far ez-pass lane on the Chesapeake Bay bridge.... during rush hour they make it 4 lanes... 3 and then one of the other 3 on the opposite side... so... you are on the opposite side facing traffic at 65mph+

 

not exactly a roundabout, but the 3rd highest in the country. about a 40 minute drive from my house - was supposed to span a lake, but the dam never got built - now just goes over the north fork of the American River.

 

Long bridges are the worst for me
