The only reason why I was considering new shocks is because I have the luxury package on my H3, which I believe didn't really come equipped with a stiffer suspension. The car dives a lot.

Don't forget to get your front end aligned again after you level the front end.

Do you think that will actually make the ride feel better?

Good question! Can you answer it? Will new Bilstein shocks stiffen up the bouncy front end after it's raised by cranking the torsion bars or adding new keys?

No wait, I didn't ask if the shocks with stiffen up the bouncy front end.. I was replying to 3Hummers when he said get the front aligned..

I know the shocks will stiffen up the ride. The question was will the alignment make the ride any better?

Don't make me out to be TOO much of an idiot there psych0...

Haha.

Yes, proper alignment will always make your vehicle drive better. Toe, caster, camber all affect a vehicle's handling. (Not all vehicles have adjustments for all three of these.)

+1 on the need to align even after a moderate torsion bar crank session.

Without an alignment, the front tires will start to scallop very quickly, even before the normal tire rotation period (10k miles for me). Don't ask me how I found this out! LOL

The ride will improve slightly too!

The Bilstein shocks definately firm up the bouncy ride from leveling the front end... unfortunately they also raised the front end an inch!

Don't let anyone tell you the new longer shocks don't affect the height of the front end!
