double the estimate.
Actually he was very helpful, explained the$$ and offered up an alternate solution. I haven’t made the call yet.
However, if ya can hook a brother up, PM me please…….
Had it not been so expensive, I'd thought about getting some
marker lights installed while all the trim was off and maybe save
a little labor……The Jury is still out on that one.
As for everyone else, thanks for sharing. I definitely need to
modify my policy and or budget for a yearly replacement. With
my commute and the crap on the road, I suspect this will be an
on-going battle.
BTW Brian: You could definitely tell it was spring @ Sewell
with all those bright red Hummers sprouting from the parking lot ! !
Photos just don’t do that color justice. Especially with the afternoon
sun hitting it…..

A colleague of mine just had his windshield replaced by one of those mobile units... granted his was only a toyota echo, so its probably much less than a H3, but still, he only paid $250... can't imagine itgoing up to $600, but I guess you never know how they like to rip us off just becoz of the brand name!

just for fun...If you had to purchase and wear a shirt to wear once a week for a month, would you pay $5 for a toyota echo shirt, or 3 times that and get a Hummer shirt?
BTW, I wouldn't be caught dead driving an echo!

I have 33k miles on my truck, have driven it everywhere and anywhere, and only once had a big rock hit it, which put a nick the size of a needletip on my windshield. Is it possible all of you got a bad batch of windshields?

I got a chip on the passenger side from a tractor trailor.. It was a cold morning and the state just put down some cinders on the roadway instead of salt and WHAM thats all she took..I havent had it run on me yet so keeping the fingers crossed...
