Default Body Lift

So I am looking at a 3 inch body lift, will be doing it myself. Has anyone done it and if so, what are my considerations? Thanks

You can get away with 1" without any significant modifications.

3" will require review of Trans linkage, brake lines and ABS wiring, radiator hoses (the upper will have to be replaced for sure) and trans cooler lines, stock air intake, wiring for lights (signals, running and headlights are probably OK) and other chassis wiring, like for the trailer plug.

You will have to address the steering shaft linkage too.

3" body lift is not really a good idea. 1" is easy, 2" is iffy.

I'm not sure a1 inch is enough, I just put 35 inch tires on 20 inch rims and rubs in front. Maybe a 2 inch lift. Has anyone done a 2 inch lift and are there pictures? Thx

The offset of the rims may be the issue, not the lift.

Yup. 35's will fit with no lift at all. Your rims are likely the problem.

I hadn't thought about that, my rims are pretty offset, not sure the exact dimensions of the offset

Take one off and measure the backspacing.
Plenty of info on how to do it on the web.
