Bluetooth Connectivity
In need of assistance. I purchased a 09 H3 Alpha with the Adventure package, I think this is a Championship Edition. Absolutely in love with this truck. I have had issues with the bluetooth since day one. I get through all the steps for Pairing my phone to the vehicle until it asks for a name for the device. It will ask me to name the device and then just sit there. The speaker hears my initial request, it doesn't matter the phone i try. Please help. I can't find anyone else with this issue.
Welcome Nate. Have you tried unplugging the onstar/bluetooth unit and reattaching it.
Sometimes electronics just need to be unplugged.
Post up some pix of your rig and a description. We will let you know if it's a Championship Edition.

Looks to be a Championship due to the color, flares, grilled and sticker on the hood.
Below the radio, you will see a silver box tucked away. That's want you are looking for.
I hope it's just the connection. I have had to replace the entire unit before.

I have the same issue with my '09 - won't pair our Iphones. It looks like you can have the dealer reflash the software. Last time I was in dealer they wanted to charge me about 50 bucks to do but I decided to just forget it an maybe figure out a way around it. Here is some info on TSB.

I have tried different iPhones and android phones. I have isolated the issue to the bluetooth itself. I will try the unplugging and plugging back in. That does usually seem to work with most electronics like Tainter said. Let you know after...
I have pretty much given up on any reliable Bluetooth with the OEM audio equipment. Am looking at replacement units at the moment which will preserve the OEM Chimes/XM and allow the use of both Bluetooth audio and streaming.
I just installed a Pioneer SPH-DA120 Appradio 4 into my H3 and love it. Paid $470ish through Amazon and and used a GMOS-1 to keep the factory door chimes, On-star and power to the radio with keep off until the door is open. The Axxess GMOS-1 is nice because you can adjust both the door chime volume and On-star levels separately to your liking. About the only thing the SPH-DA120 doesn't do is XM radio and play disc. I've found with Pandora or Apple radio I don't need XM any longer.
Has far has Bluetooth goes in the SPH-DA120 it's awesome. Auto connects and can stream music also. The radio comes with a micro that be can clipped into the head liner for great call quality and an external GPS antenna to boost your phone GPS signal for Google map, Apple maps or what ever nag app you use.
If your running an iPhone the SPH-DA120 offers Apples CarPlay via a lighting cable and integrates some Apple apps into the stereo. Messages, podcast, contacts and your iTunes library which offers Apple radio. More apps will be available soon through Apple first or second quarter I've read.
Then there's the Pionners app radio side for just about anything else you want.
Worth checking out it you want smart phone capabilities easily accessed through your car stereo.
