I am searching for an H3 Hummer to purchase and need a little info please

Is the "Black" exterior and interior color too Hot ???

I live in the So Cal area and I am just wondering if this is a good idea or not due to the hot summers.

Seems that sometime in 2007 they changed the driver door controls to a different location. Seems early units had them on the arm rest / later models had them at an angle further up the arm rest.

Is either model and better fit for use ??? -- does this seem to matter to you guys ???
Just seems that the older model might interfere with your left arm resting on the controls

 

It doesn't matter as long as you're driving a Hummer baby!

 

I have had 2 Victory Red H3's and now have a Black Alpha. I can tell some difference. But after a minute or so of AC it's no problem. No problem with the window controls on my 06. They are just a little awkward to reach.

 

The window controls on the arm rest are a bit of a PITA because you have to reach in a weird way to operate them but your arm doesnt interfere with the buttons. Wouldn't be enough to sway me from a good deal though

I drove a Black 2007 today with just those colors. Full factory navigation, luxury package, monsoon audio, heated seats etc etc etc. Drove very nicely with no obvious problems. Paint has a couple of nicks here and there --- nothing terrible

They want $ 22,999 for the Hummer with 24,000 miles on it.

Sound like a good deal ?

Oh -- can I add a hitch on this thing since it doesn't have one ?

 

that seems like a pretty fair price for sure. Probably came off lease, which is a good thing because peolpe rarely wheel leases and cuts down on possible hidden issues. Good luck with your search, you wont regret it! :cheers

The black of my H3 hasn't affected me at all here in Ohio. I tinted the front windows and made the back extra dark, so it really blocks out a lot of sun.

As for the window controls, I was very frustrated with the farther back location of them being a bigger guy. But after a few weeks I got used to them just like any vehicle you need to get used to. Don't even think about it now.

That 07 sounds like a reasonable deal. Make sure it still has a bit of warranty left if there is any question of problems.

I have purchased the Hummer as stated in my previous post but walked away with a final price of $ 21,600

Rig has a nice smooth ride and I love the Nav system and Monsoon sound.

Now it's time to hang on the forums and figure out which add ons I can't live without.
