Bilstein 4600 Series
Quick question ... The Bilstein 4600 Series shows 2 different colors ..
1- yellow/blue
2-Silver /Black
Is there any difference between .. Both are showed under same part number , also Bilstein website has them with same description and fit for the Hummer
Price difference is about $6
BTW .. I got them in Amazon @ $294 shipped ( all four ) .. Guess is a good price as everyone report to paid over $300
Thanks 4 the inputs

I'd imagine they're the same but you can get the color scheme of the 5100's with the silver/black.
I was looking at them the other day and it seems the 5100's are solely for lifted rigs and not stock. However I really wanted the silver/black combo and I didn't know the others had that option.
Post a pic when you get them in and some part numbers!

I guess you right both Silver and yellow are the same , just different colors for different tastes .
I got the silver ... BTW the front are 5100 series and the back 4600 ... thats the recommendation everywhere ... Actually here is the info posted by Man1nboat before ::
Previous information: ("I am having the Bilstein's installed Monday morning (5100 BIL 24-186735 front, 4600 BIL 24-185912 rear, and BIL 33-174525 dampener) for $615.88 installed."
From your information, the 936's are 5100 and 937's are 4600 shocks...
I bought mine from 4 Wheel Parts, have 2007, un-lifted with with rear coil springs ).....
Me: ... Notice he said Un-lifted .. For what I checked there are some for 6" lifted , another for 12' and one for un-lifted trucks .......I will get it on Monday , I will post asa installed

Hmmm... I checked my H2 and have 5100's all around. I checked with Bilstein and they said that the 5100s were the better choice. I know thats what I ordered; however, 5100s is what I ended up with. They work great FYI and my H2 is unlifted
I have to agree with Richard, I also have the Bilstein 5100's (silver & black) all around including my steering stabilizer. These are much better than stock but you can use them unlifted. Mine is stock, love the ride & performance.
I chose the Bilsteins over the Ranchos because I was told that the Ranchos were mass produced and designed to be replaced more often hence the warranty for them; they will simply exchange them one for one over the counter for each time you break one.
Bilsteins also has a warranty but have a bit different philosophy on their equipment. They are made of higher grade components for less breakage. They will also honor their warranty but you have to send the bad one back for replacement to get the new one.

Im more comfortable installing the 5100 instead 4600 after reading all you have this ones ...
Will install tomorrow . I will post after ....

If you have questions you can look up the part numbers directly on bilsteins website. That's how I got the part #s for my 5600's unlifted. They give you all the specs and the lift ranges and finishes with the different part #s that will fit your ride.
Funny thing happened today, customer came in with a brand new jeep and I had just talked him into installing the 5160's when he did a lift kit, big tires/wheels the whole enchilada about a month ago. he came in today and his new 5160 on the rr had exploded. the rubber seal at the bottom of the shock was wrapped around the shaft and all the fluid was out. I hope he installed the right one and it wasn't bottoming out.
