Best H2 Supercharger
I don't remember the name to be honest with you. I ordered it from summitracing when I had the trans rebuilt. The trans shop installed it with the new transmission. it shifts a lot more .....violently I guess would be the word from first to second gear, however when I'm towing it shifts smoothly so I can live with the rough shift between first and second gear. And more importantly my transmission temps are normal when towing now.
I know I shouldn't be reviving a dead post but I am very interested in the outcome. Other than installing supercharger, difference tranny, and so on. Does anyone have a list of what I should do once I put a Maggie on. I am very new to the supercharger market, and wanted honest opinion. Pictures would be great on the work you all have done on your rigs.
Hi all,
I am a new member and I am the original owner of a 2003 H2 adventure package. I have a whipple supercharger, and AP racing brakes, as well as many other upgrades. The point is that I bought a the new whipple from PSE superchargers in 2008, and 20k miles into it's use it died. I had PSE rebuild it because :confused it was out of warranty, and Ed Martinez there said that the rebuild should last 100k miles. 20k later it died again, main bearing. Again PSE was "confused" but charged me 2500 to rebuild it again. (mind you, they do not take credit cards because there have been soo many issues with people reversin the charges) 15k miles later, it died again. Frustrated but desperate, i had them rebuild it again, and 300 miles later it froze completely. Ed says "sorry but you didnt add oil." When i showed him a video of the mechanic adding oil, he said it "proved nothing" and then this time
shipped it back to me this time unrepaired, and after holding it hostage for 4 months! Long story short, NEVER USE PSE SUPERCHARGERS. They will cheat you and rob you for your money, and then not honor the warranty.
thanks,

Make sure if you do go with the Magnusson that you get a better torque converter installed. even if you don't do the trans right away. the reason my trans failed at 100k was the torque converter. I tow with mine so the Maggie was the way to go with the heat exchanger and power all along the rpm range. I also ended up replacing the stock radiator with a becool double row and adding another b&m Trans Cooler System to the stock one. Heat issues are gone. I haven't been able the get the engine above 203 degrees no matter what I put it through.
It will help with your gas mileage as well if your not on the throttle 24/7. it just builds power better so you don't have to give it as much gas as before.
