Is this the beginning of the end of Hummer

RE: Is this the beginning of the end of Hummer
Hey Dan,
Just to hit on one of the subjects. "Could the Hummer be smaller"? It could, but then I would have no use for it. When I am not towing my 36 ft Carriage 5th wheel with my GMC Dually 1 ton, I am towing my 30 ft SeaSwirl boat with my Hummer. I need a tow vehicle I can depend on, not to over heat, wear out in the first few thousand miles and be able to stop fast when I need to. You just are not going to get that in a smaller tow vehicle.
Paul

I'm a die hard Hummer owner if they come out with the H4 I'll be first in line at the car dealership. I'm not conerned with the price of gas. \\; My wife and I bought this vehicle to go off road and meet new people and so far through websites like this and THCI we have travelled around this country doing just that. \\; I wouldn't get rid of my H3 for anything, I even have my H3 tattoo'd on my calf.

our future plans.
If the Chevy Volt is afforadble, we will buy one. If they are rediculously priced (which is almost a given), then we will probably buy a used Prius.
Regardless of gas prices going up or down, it's what we want. We have the bad weather vehicle, and now need the practical one. [&:]

Keepin' mines forever too, but I'm concerned about service, and parts support that will go away at some point if GM bails, and no other company buys the Hummer brand. [:@]
My hope is that GM continues producing Hummers, andjust cut the productionthrough these tough times for them. As always, times will get better for the average American, or Canadian (Bob)

I used to restore old Corvettes. You can find and buy parts to restore almost any old make of vehicle. Hummers are high value vehicles and I think parts will be easier to come by than some of you think.

I'm keeping mine!!!
I don't think they'll get rid of the Hummer line. Maybe scale back on the 2's. I'd really hate to see the H2's sold off or wiped out entirely. Whatever they do, I'm not getting rid of mine.
