Good grief…the battery in my 2008 H3 was a BOOGER to get out! After working a 10 hour shift and coming out to a dead battery, we just went and bought a new one and thought it would be a quick job to change it. Ha. Long story short, not having the tools needed, we ended up cutting the tie down strap just to get it done and get home. Question is, does anyone know where I can get a replacement strap? I’ve looked around on line with no luck. Thanks all. Love to cruise this forum!

 

I believe you have to purchase an entire battery box assembly to get a new one.

 

if you tie a wire around it,next year it will still be there. ive never worried about a batt going very far. just try to move it now without the strap!. not a good idea if you bounce or roll a lot though.
you might look at some dual batt threads for ideas on alt straps/hold down ideas,including 2 batts. your'e in a perfect place to do the backup batt thing!
i tossed my box but saving it for if/when i sell.
