Awesome weather
There was a report on the Weather Channel yesterday, that because El Nino is gaining in strength this year above and beyond what forecasters expected, the northern part of the country, especially the mid-west, is going to see a warm and dry Winter. It was 56 degrees here yesterday, in Chicago, where by now it is usually 10 degrees and full of snow. The snow has all melted, and it feels like spring already. I can only imagine the kind of storms that will be happening this spring.
That's the downside of it I guess ... actually watched a very small (F0 lol) twister this summer from the comforts of my front porch ...
Same weather here, 58 degrees, sunny, blue skies .. can't beat it!!

That is me and my horse, Comet at a show. He's a Tennessee Walking horse. He's one of the 8 horses that I own(actually I think they own me). I have 7 Tenn Walkers and 1 Quarter horse.

Thank you, very rare breed over here, I thing there is only one breeder in northern France.
my wife and I are VERY much into horses too, we have stables with 12 horses. we are into CSO (I think is jumping in english) and dressage.
my wife was dressage french champion in 2003 and 2005.
we own 3 hanovrian, 1 lusitanian,1 PRE ( is spanish pure breed) and 7 selle français.
I agree, they own us... we spend about 5 hours per day in the stables !!

Mary...when you get snowed in at work someday this winter..you and Tina will be about the only ones being able to drive home...but whatever you do, don't tow the dip wad out of any snow drifts.
We had our winter as far as I'm concerend 12" in one day was enough..it can start back into spring and summer again for all I care...Suppose to be in the 70's this weekend..guess what is gonna get a good de-salting and primping?

I show English also, but it's not hunt seat...it's called saddleseat(no posting involved). The QH is Western Pleasure all the way...which is a new discipline for me, but I'm learning. I have a great respect for dressage and although I don't show dressage, I do use the basis of it in all my training. Nothing teaches a horse grace and flexion like dressage. How awesome that your wife won a dressage championship x2!
