I was wondering if you guys knew of the following, any help will be appreciated:


1. Power down auto for "all" the windows (maybe theres a switch, or does somebody sell something for the h3 that does that, or i can
reprogram the computer or something)

2. Aux input for my treo 650 (i have over 1000 mp3s) for the hummer h3.

power down windows: nothing that I know of or heard of would give you express power down to all windows.

treo hook up: Does the treo work with IPOD accesories? if so you can use an ipod adapter...you can get that here: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/ipodgm.html

 

Only the Driver's door has the express down feature..

But if you want to know how to program the door locks..Let me know.

 

Could you replace the remaining three switches(in the housing) with a duplicate of the drivers switch, and the related parts, if any??

I don't know for sure if that would work (replacing the switches with other drivers switch.) If you take out the switch panel from the door you will find alot more than just normal switches. In other gm's that I have worked on, and I assume the hummer line is the same, the switch is actually connected to a circuit board right below it, which controls the express down feature as well as other things.

 

Thanks for the info, i love my h3, i just love to super customize it, so the power down of all windows is on my list, ,
plus the aux input (only for a short time, because im getting navigation, pioneer zd1 or 2 forgot which one, it has one): other things on my list:

1. Drivers side Roof Grab Handle (like all the other doors).
2. Front cupholder thingamagik (which would elevate it, give me more cup holders and stuff, i know they make some for other vehicles, i bought one, one time for a bmw i had, was great!)

Just wanted to let everyone know, i love my h3, been wanting one for a year, and waited, i just got it about a month ago, i test drove everything (dont laugh): Mercedes Benz ML350, BMW X3, BMW X5, i went to look at jeep commander, liberty, cherokee, Land Rover, Hummer H2 (loved it, but the turning radius was too small, and my friend who has one says shes only getting 9mpg, sheez my h3 is bad enough!).

But can you believe all those other cars felt smaller inside, and outside than my h3? (besides the h2).

I got a birch white, luxury package, fully loaded, minus navigation for $35,000.

 

not to **** in your corn flakes but express windows a grab handle and a cup holder isn't really what classifies as "super Customizing"

 

Your right, thats just the small amenities that i need help with, the other stuff im getting is easier to find.

Its just so much easier to ask, instead of continously look around, by the way thanks for the ipod connection website,
seems i can use the ipod connector on my treo 650.

 

there's a reason for not having one of those. if, and it may not be valid in your case, you go offroad, would you want to be cracking the side of your head on a handle? plus, that's the entrance most used on a vehicle, so they don't put one there. besides, you have the steering wheel to grab on to, and hold on to, which none of the others have. i'd just stick with more cupholders, those always come in handy. nice, shiny, chrome ones . . . . .
