Default Aux Input

Hello gents.

I've searched like crazy both here and google with no set in stone results. I am looking to install some sort of Aux input to the factory touchscreen so I can stream Pandora and ditch my SiriusXM.

I know it can be done I just can't find the info, any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I have used them years ago but was looking for something more reliable and factory looking but it may be the easiest way to go about it, thanks for the info!

How did you connect that to the factory head unit? I do not believe there is a 3.5mm jack on the back.

Lojac,

Sorry, I forgot that my H2 had something similar to this:

Amazon Amazon

already installed when I bought it. I added this:

Amazon Amazon

and installed it in a blank on the bottom of the traction control switch where ride height adjustment would be.

I added this 2 years ago and now I use bluetooth for my music:

Amazon Amazon

and

Amazon Amazon

Works very well.

I really appreciate all of your build pics, posts and sharing of knowledge.

Interesting setup for sure! That's a lot of components!

There used to be a mod for GM radios where you could open the radio and add the aux input but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I may just end up going with the Bluetooth module posted above. You connect in line with the XM module and that's it.

I have one of these in my center console,

Amazon Amazon

leave it plugged in, it connects automatically so when I want to stream music I just tune to a channel I select on the head unit and go. If I want to talk hands free I just pull it out of the console and plug it in.

Looking at the blueStar for a more permanent solution with the PAC AUX adapter to get the sound from my phone in stereo.

hmm, never been a fan of FM modulation but maybe the technology has improved. For $20 I guess it might be worth a shot.
