Just updated my info a little, I am in Des Moines, Iowa. We have or had a HUMMER dealer here but I am pretty sure it's non-operational now even though the signs and building are still there and it's still listed on the HUMMER web site.

 

I have a CE and it also has the Luxury package. When I took delivery, I was told that there were 500 built for the US and a "few" for Canada and Australia. I was able to get the build sheet for mine but no document to support the number built. I have had people that I have never met or heard of contact me and make offers to buy. My CE is not for sale, but I know where there is one on a used car lot in another state and the guy does not know what he has!

 

Did the CE model have an Alpha badge on the back door that said "V8" instead of "ALPHA"? I picked up a "V8" badge up on Amazon, exact same size and material as my stock "ALPHA" badge. It is a Chevy OEM part #25979729, listed as "Limited Edition". I'm just not sure what edition it refers to, and I've never seen an H3 with one (except mine, now ).

 

Yes, it came with the V8 badge. It has identical seats and steering wheel as my 2008 ALPHA X ( just no Alpha insignia ) .

 

Nothin like bringing a 5.5 year OLD thread to the front of the board to share this important information.

 

Oops, didn't even notice that since the poster before me was just today. Well, at least I got my "ALPHA" vs "V8" emblem question clarified.

 

The Champs from the factory never had a badge on the rear. Dealer must have ordered it and put it on or the previous owner.

 

Thanks, could have been my dealer. A friend who purchased his CE from another dealer has A HUMMER decal in the same location?????? Thinking about removing mine.
