anyone getting offers to sell?
im not talking about those stupid little flyers for $2000 dollars off your next GM vehicle. i got a friend who says dealers are approaching him asking if he'd be willing to sell, claiming that people are coming into the dealers asking specifically for H3s.
does this sound legitimate/make sense?
also if in case i go see what they offer me, what do you think sounds like a reasonable offer for an 09 h3 with 29000 miles.

oldest dealership sales gimmick. They'll say that about any vehicle just to get sell you a new car. If that was th case you wouldn't e able to drive around town and find multiple bummers for sale or search on autotrader and find two pages of them for sale.
I don't doubt for a minute that there are people out there that are looking for H3's but at this point in the game I would guess that the last place they would be looking for them is at your garden variety New/Used car dealership.
Car shopping today is much different today. Internet first, dealerships second.

The Chevy/Caddy dealership where I take my truck used to be a Chevy/Caddy/Hummer dealership, and from what I hear and have experienced it's "the" place to take a Hummer for work. Last time I was in and chatting they said they hadn't had a Hummer for sale in months even though they try to get them whenever they can.
Just remember, dealerships are there to take your money. The fliers, radio ads, mailers to you directly, etc. are all to get you on the lot to trade your vehicle for one of theirs with a bit of profit for them. They do not need your vehicle or mine. I'm sure they prefer ones they can flip quickly, like an H3, but just because they come to you doesn't mean you will be getting a better deal than if you went to them first.

On the plus side, Hummers seem to be holding their value quite well - good news for all of us.
FWIW, just last week, my friend at Lund Caddy in Phoenix called me & offered me $45K for my "Garage Princess" '09 H3 V8 Championship Edition (w/7,800 mi). Said they already had a buyer lined-up who was willing to pay through the nose for what GM says is a very rare model & the GM system says is the lowest mileage of any '09 H3 CE in the US. So, needless to say, H3s are holding their value and then some, if they are low mileage, V8, leather with front & rear lockers.
