Any source to buy a H1 nowadays?
Hi
I've been a H1 lover date back to high school, But sadly, time doesn't do me the favour. H1 production ceased in 2006. I'm wondering is there anyway to buy a H1 or hmmwv these days? say from am general directly? I read am general's press release that in 2012, they are selling hmmwv chases for around $60000, can't find any more information beyond that point. Any link, suggestion would be helpful. Used once are one way but with their price jacked up so high, I can't do the justice.
Thanks
Mark

If you are from USA, Mark, so you have huge market of all Hummers, especially for H1 in your country. You can try buy H1 from e-bay, kijiji or even better idea to buy it from dealers. There is web-site: Used Cars, New Cars, Reviews, Photos and Opinions - CarGurus. There are many different H1! But prices not very low. Or there is even better source:www. usedh1.com( Name of the guy is Blair Outlan). This guy is very famous in USA. He is buying and selling any different Hummers H1. So visit his web-site.He is also selling HUMMWV's too. Try it and may be You will be lucky to find something suitable for you!
Thanks
I'm actually in Canada, Toronto, ON. LOL. I currently drive a ram 1500. and wanted something special. I was thinking about buying a chase and get some shop to build it since the old optimizer diesel lacks power, and with modern diesel engines so efficient and alison 6spd, it should return some good millage too. I'm not saying it's going to be anything close to economy. I currently drive a truck and is getting around 17 mpg. My truck has a curb weight of around 5500lbs. thanks for the info though, I'l definitly check them out!

Me from Toronto area too! Yes, here in Canada it's not so easy to find H1 compare to USA, but we also have many of them for sale. Try to check Autotrader too. By the way there is one more forum for Hummer supporters in Canada: Canadian HUMMER Club. So you can check this one too. There are many guys who have H1 from this forum!

If you are looking for an H1 check out this link. They not only sell them but service them as well. Dealers and eDealers who may have one on their lot don't know anything about what makes them run. Big Dog knows their H1s in and out.
Heck, I was on the phone with them yesterday trying to figure my issues out on mine and I didn't even buy it there. They are helpful and can point you in the right direction.
