I'm located in Sacramento CA. basically i'm having rear air suspension problems, i'm looking for a shop that works on hummers, besides the stealerships, i guess that'd be my last option. just wondering if any one has any experience with any shops in or around California. thanks

 

YOU"RE IN SAC? I'd recommend daugherty, they're pretty good, but pricey. you might want to contact 4wheel parts wholesalers, they've got some mechanics there, but i've never used them. if it was for an alignment i'd recommend linville bros tire down the street on El Camino from 4wheel parts wholesalers, but i'm not sure they'd be able to help with the air suspension - still worth a phone call though. i've never had a complaint from any of the work they've done on the bus. other than that, i'm no help - i've still got warranty coverage so daugherty gets all my work except for alignments.

btw, where in Sac are you? i'm in Citrus Heights.

 

thanks for the info, does mike daughtery own hummer of sac too? if so, i wasn't too happy with the service at mike daugherty although we were treated well when we purchased a tahoe form them, then when we took it in for service, the back bumper had a dent and my girlfriends cd's were stolen. they denied all of it.. so i don't think i'd go back, even if i had a choice to go back she'd probably cut my head off hahaha. she's very passionate about her mariah carey collection they stole.. lol

on another note, i live near i-80 and north watt.. i just tell everyone i live by the REGENCY, since most people are familiar with that "famouslandmark" haha

 

yep, daugherty owns hummer of sac. i've never had a problem with anything done there - all my cds were still there, my compressor and tripod were still there, staun deflators, etc. i like the work they do, and they've never once claimed abuse for anything i've broken, even when the skidplate was full of mud and needed hammered out to go back on. If you can't find anyone to work on the air suspension, i think they'll be a good backup.

 

Is that the one that has about 100 Hummers and 100 vettes out there??

yep, only hummer dealer in town. not as many vettes right now though

 

I haven't been there since 1999-2000..... that was back when he had H1's for under 100k....

 

there are only 3 new H1's left. they finally sold the yellow open top i couldn't talk the wife into buying for me . . . . . . .

 

I know the feeling.... the old lady won't let me have that nice slantback the guy posted a few weeks ago....
