Well I went through the car wash today (not the first time though) and when I came out I no longer had an antenna. Have any of you replaced the original antenna with a shorter one and if so where did you purchase it from and if you by chance take your through the car wash, do you just remove it before you go through?

Yeah...I got a stub from ebay and paid about $15. The reception is not great but i can get in the garage. I also ALWAYS wash my own car. Ive had two many things happen when Ive taken my vehicals through the car wash....BEWARE

 

If ever I want to get a quick wash..I take it through a BRUSHLESS car wash..Only water spray touches the car..nothing else.

 

I bought one of the short ones on ebay but never installed it... Still on my back floor...

 

i bought one from ebay but ot was plastic threw it out.
i get good reception
and never threw a car was alway by hand
or like Dennis said the power washer you do it yourself.
