Default Another Hummer Crash...

Apparently, a Hummer H2 was involved in Bruce Jenner's wreck yesterday.

More info here: Click Me! and Me!

A Lexus ended up colliding head on with a Hummer (Lexus was pushed into oncoming traffic). The diver (70) of the Lexus died.

I absolutely hate to hear about these sorts of things, especially when this wreck was possibly caused by Jenner texting.

This makes me happy to have owned (and will soon own) a H2 simply for safety's sake. They were & still are exceedingly safe vehicles. It shows that "safety" is a relative term. Even if that Lexus ranked far higher in safety than the H2 (especially if it's an 07 or earlier), none of those safety features did the job. I'll stick with Hummer.

Yes, it confirms one more time that Hummer is really safe truck. Unfortunately, it 's proven in such horrific accident.

Wife is headed to Cali for a road trip - yup, she's taking the H2 for sure now.

Main reason we got rid of our Sky (Wife's car) and put her in a Jeep Liberty. Larger and taller vehicles are just plain safer before taking into account actual safety features.

Sure the H2 is trashed but the damage done to the lexus versus the H2 is not comparison.

safety is a relative thing. Benefit of the H2 is Mass. Large crushes small.
However if I had to choose to run both vehicles into a concrete wall? I would choose the lexus

Sorry but relative theory ends were the wall start .
I would never choose a sedan over 8000 pnds truck
when you compare apple to apple the Lexus may win .
Crash against a Hummer is like run into a concrete wall the Lexus with all the safety still the Lexus driver is death Unless you are planning suicide then I would stay away from walls while driving any sedan , no doubt the biggest and stronger is going to win
