I'm looking to see if ANYONE has a filter for the 2008 H3 and come across one. It gives a size and I was going to check against it by measuring the stock filter. Anybody taken the box apart yet? The hoses are connected to the upper housing. Am I not taking it apart right or what. Wish it was as easy as the 2007 (or any other in the world for that matter).

 

Ok, I got it apart and this is stupid. You have to disconect the mass air sensor, air inlet, and main air duct..... and no, the filter I found will not work. Don't know where they got that idea.

 

I didn't even realize it was like that until I read your post and went out to check the wife's. She only has 1,000 miles so I haven't had a reason to look at ANYTHING under the hood yet.

I agree, that dang design did seem pretty stupid when I looked at it.

 

Take the filter measure it up and go to S&B filter website and you can build it and see if they have a match or they will make one for you.

Is the S&B filter an open-ended filter? Meaning, the top head of the filter has paper media as well. I've noticed the K&N is not an open-ended filter. It just has the media 360 as usual.

 

K&N and the S&B are oiled cotton filters. The S&B have what you call a Power Stack. The Alpha has a panel filter that is why i said for someone to measure and go to the website and plug in the numbers WA LA.

 

I like the open-ended filters like the S&B PowerStack. Any S&B part number for our vehicle?
