AM GENERAL Optimizer 6500 For Sale
I bought a AM General's Optimizer 6500 to replace the GM 6.5 in my Silverado. I rarely use the truck, so there are less than 5,000 on this engine. Although the engine is great, the truck is no longer road worthy, so it is time to sell the Optimizer 6500. Engine is located in Pittsburgh, PA.

A GM Optimizer 6500 and a Hummer Optimizer 6500 turbo diesel aren't same same engine and if this is for a GM pickup it won't work. Before someone buys this make sure you're getting the correct engine. My brother's shop did a repair on a hacked-in GM 6.5 in a Hummer with some real "interesting" parts to make it work.
Sometimes when buying an engine it's best to buy one new and not "with a story".
