I just purchased my 07 H3 a few weeks ago and had to choose between the Alpha and the I5. I was gunho on the Alpha and almost put a deposit on it. I waited a week and drove the I5 and was pleasantly surprised. The truth of the matter is I sold my 04 2500 Suburban to purchase the H3 so I was used to a V8 for many years.

But after driving both I couldn't justify the almost $9,000 price difference. I got my 07 Lux package for $2500 under invoice so it came out to $31k even compared to $40k for the V8 version. Sure I would like the V8, but I'm not pulling anything other than a quad trailer and so far with the addition of the TB spacer and air cleaner (still waiting to install exhaust) the performance it great.

Maybe after Hummer and the dealers aren't so proud of their new Alpha's and the prices start coming down I will re-evaluate purchasing one. But for now I'm content and satisfied with my choice.
