Default Air Horns

Has anyone put air horns in their H2, and if so where?
I would also like to see if anyone has mounted them on the cab roof
Thanks

I've got three different horns and I'd like to install one, so I'm interested in this also. I've even considered mounting one on the hood, but they're so heavy. Plus mounting the compressor and tank I have.

THANKS B,
Yeah thats a nice little setup

for a nice price.... but it just doesnt give that Big Rig sound I want. I have the horn that will do it, but its a biggin... and it might have to be mounted up top.
Funny though, thats where I was thinking of mounting my horn too (where they have theirs mounted in the engine bay)

Have you seen the guy who sells the manual for building PVC train horns on ebay. Look him up on youtube. The horns you can build from PVC using his instructions are insanely loud. I've thought about doing it for ages but you'd also need onboard air or use the small pressurized tanks to power the horns.

Yeah I am not looking for train horns, and I prefer not to have a tank.
The horn I got is a 18 wheeler horn, and it powered by two pumps. The issue with my horn is to get the sound I wanted (18 wheeler not train) I had to get a LONG horn.

Given, I didnt know about the PVC thing... thats interesting and will definitely have to look it up.

Are you talking about the horns with the small electric centrifugal air pumps integrated in them? Which horns do you have?

I installed a Wheelen air horn/PA in my truck.
It has an 100 watt electric Horn and 100 watt PA system, esay to install....the same horn you hear the police use to clear traffic, loud and gets noticed quickly....I mounted the 100 watt speaker if front grill, the PA rocks......The lights green and there still texing, I say on PA, Hey Lights green, they haul ***......lol

Did the air horn deal, not happy, costly, noisy to hear it pump up tank,on fire wall....selonoids keep crapping out......

So you ran the Real Wheels setup, the all inclusive kit inside the engine compartment and had issues?
