Anyone have any reasons why my drivers air bag light goes on and off while driving?

 

how much do you weight

 

210 lbs... I didn't think the Drivers Side Airbag had a weight sensor...

 

Is it the passenger light? Is there anything on the front seat?

 

oh just saw you said drivers, interesting...maybe the wiring?

 

Guess a trip to my local GM dealer is in order... before GM stops handling Hummer warranty work!

 

Mine did that twice, I had to take it in and they had to change the system and sensor...
I was told it could deploy anytime, not sure how true that is, but I wouldn't want to chance it.

 

One of the sensor wires on the left portion of the seat was rubbing the seat frame and shorting out. they fixed the wire and rerouted it... all fixed.

 

I guess I got fooled by the 'rubbing wire' theory the dealer sold me... The airbag light is back on (and off) and on (and off) again!

I bet they disconnected the battery to reset the computer to hope that fixed the issue... Back to the dealer again!

 

Dealer fixed the Air Bag light again! This time they said it was my umbrella that was under the seat interfering with the air bag sensor...

Drove it off the lot and the light came on again... Strike two!
