Might be the salty air! no kidding
No, I did not run trough a lot of salt .... since salt is forbidden in scandinavian countries for at least 10 years, of course now the road are saturated with unknown chimical compound in the name of ..... nature protection[:'(]

Seriously, that's a pic of the problem.

Looks like the Chrome plating peeled off..Can you get in touch with whomever you bought that from?..I think you have a legitimate claim for a replacement.

I bought from the dealer and they installed it.[:@]
By the way, I have the same problem with the rear left rim (OEM chrome).

I think is time for a visit to HUMMER france.

My stock chrome rims on my -03 H2 are starting to pit pretty good too ... I've just given up on em and come to terms with the fact that I'll have to shell out some money to get me a set of black ones to complete the look ...

Sorry for not getting back to you guys on the install. It was a pretty involved install in my opinion. Not hard. I removed the inner fender well cover and let it set on the tire. Then I removed the plastic rear corner molding. Then just remove the fuel surround, it pops out. Then you need to dremel 5 openings in the edges of the surround. Next remove the two nuts holding the filler neck in place and pull the neck off the studs and push it to the side. Put the surround up inside the fender well and over the fuel neck. Bolt the fuel neck in place again. Align the openings in the surround you made in it with the slots in the body. Now you can put your fuel door in place and put the 5 nyloc nuts in place that hold the fuel door to the truck.Tighten them down evenly. Then reinstall the rear corner piece, and fender well liner. Took me about an hour or so to do.

One thing I can tell you is that they are preparing a new H2 custom for an austrian client with 850 hp. I was not allowed to see it[:@][:@][:@][:@]
I guess it will appear on the net when they will be ready
