Default Aftermarket Brush Guards - Any Good?

Are any of the aftermarket Brush Guards any good for the price?

Any rusting issues?

Any better than others?

I was wondering the same thing but then I thought about it as long as it has good welds if it rusts it doesn't matter. You can always sand and respray that area, I think all brush guards unless made from SS will rust sooner or later because they are brush guards. Something is bound to scratch to the metal and it will rust. Speaking of sanding and spraying, I just forgot I left a can of paint thinner in the car. I better get it cause morning sun heat and flammable fluids don't mix.

Actually, I think the factory guards are pretty feable and lame. Any brand that is one piece will be better than the stock BGs.

The fleabay BGs that are three piecers that bolt together are often not so good. Look into the Predator SMA knock offs, well made and beefy!

I bought the black powdercoated Aries "OEM style" brushguard from Ebay. It is a one piece that mounts behind the tow hooks and has 2 very small brkts that mound to the rad support thru the grill openings. They keep the brushguard from vibrating when driving. NO rust after 2 winters. The tubing is a bit larger diameter that the GM OEM. Think I paid about $250...was well worth it.
