OK I know I sound like a kid saying that, but they are interesting.

My theory about moving my lightbar back a few inches worked! After getting my H3 back last night, I re-installed my monstrous light bar, but I installed it about 3 inches farther back then it was before. Before the air flow from the windshield was flowing up and right into the bar. My theory was if I moved it back a few inches, the air flow would deflect from the windshield over the bar and stop all of the noise and lag caused by all of that air hitting it. It seemed to work. This morning there was hardly any noise coming from the roof, whereas before it was rediculous. Even going 70, where all you would hear is wind, you heard nothing more then the normal sounds. I guess because the windshield is at such a drastic angle, the wind just goes right over the light bar. Hopefully, the mileage will stay the same as it did without it as well.

 

Good job! Your theory is probably good, and the evidence seems to suggest that. Now you can be happy that your lights are back on, they really dress up your truck.

That's right, Mikey did just get new rails, so now he doesn't need to worry about holes in the wrong spot. That worked out pretty good! Mike, how about some pics of the rails in their new location?
