Default Advice on buying 08 H3

New to the forums and I'm thinking of buying an 08 H3 Luxury 3.7L with about 140k miles. Been reading through the forums and have learned quite a bit. So I'm looking for advice from those who have experience with Hummers. Here is what I know about the vehicle;
1. 2 owners/ no reported accidents
2. Regular servicing. Oil and filter.
3. power steering flush at 90k
4. Coolant flush at 110k
5. transmission flush at 112k
6. Failed emissions inspection at 138k ( I know this could be minor or could be major)
I'm looking for a semi daily use vehicle for road only use. No long commutes, no hauling, occasional road trips. Oh and I'm decent under the hood.
So that's it folks, please let me know your thoughts and any questions you may have. Thanks

For what you are describing as your uses for the vehicle you will be fine with a 3.7

If you don't have one yet, why would you not get a V8? You can read ANY review from almost any where and 99% will say to get the V8. Don't even consider one without a V8, and at least the rear factory locker.

Sounds Ile a decent rig with a main characters schedule.
You didn't post the price. That's a MAJOR factor.

Except that considering his intended use, the I5 is fine, with a tad better gas mileage, and a cheaper price tag to boot. And a locker? Why? He's not going off-road.

I have both. Although I would take the Alpha if being given a choice there is also nothing wrong with the I5. After a lift, armor, and tires on the Alpha they feel about the same now.

the power difference is worth the 2mpg better in the I5, and every time I have towed the Alpha did way better. the other thing is at the age and mileage it is gonna be time to start replacing bushings. I am doing all that work now with 145K on the odometer

But he's not towing. And the bushings are gonna be the same whether it's a V8 or a L5.
