i once got almost 12mpg....get 9-11 normally...but mine sucks. You should see around 14-17 on average.

 

I average around 15 MPG. That's a pretty even mix of Highway and city.

 

I have an 07 with a5 speed & get between 17.75 & 20 MPG's.

 

Get the H3X version. I get 16.5 with my automatic.

go to fueleconomy.gov to see the new 2008, "realistic" ratings for mpg. You'll see the H3 lines up against any other 4WD mid-size SUV. Most of the ones with better ratings are 2WD or small or hybrid. If you're a pavement pounder the Lux package will take good care of you. Alpha's great but significantly more $ than the I5.

if you like the looks of it (I do), then get it.

It's really a good truck for me:

+'s:
*) Looks awesome! The ground clearance, the tires close to the front of the truck, etc.
1) Amazing ride for a truck w/ soft bouncy suspension off a pick up truck
2) Solid and Rattle free (except for a squeak from the back)
3) Looks and feels nice inside

The only other SUV that really does it for me is the Benz G500, but that's obviously more money and much much less fuel efficient.

I get about 14mpg and I do 100% city driving in stop and go traffic.
