Someone signed up as Admin&Moderator and is sending e-mails to members that have claiming that they have to respond to the e-mail or will be turned into their ISP. This is not an e-mail from the forum. Delete this e-mail and do not respond to it.

It's Still Going! I just got mine and I deleted it... Maybe it's a Prius owner!

I just got the message today and I clicked on the link. My anti virus said it blocked a threat and that I should not continue with that website. Have I made myself vulneable to a virus from that website now?

ive added some measures that should prevent these "admin and mod" spammers from joining and being able to access the PM or email system.

i also banned 8 more fake staff members...

This is NOT bashing anyone, but I'm very happy to see there is some moderation on this site. I really had thought this had become the "wild west" of the Hummer forums. I know hummerforums.com has had its share of problems that led to an exodus of sorts, but it's nice to see its being looked after at least a little.

this problem with the fake admins and mods have been hitting forums all around the internet. the virus that is being sent out is very passive, but it got me last week. ive been chasing this problem from forum to forum for a couple weeks now.
