Ok. I know nothing about these things and am more curious at this point than anything else. I have an '07 H3 base/luxury model with a manual transmission. I was wondering how much money (ballpark) it is or whether it is even feasible to add locking differentials.

Yes it it doable. Price depends on what you want and who installs it. The two most common are the Eaton Elocker which is what comes in the H3's and is actuated electronically. The second is the ARB Air Locker which is actuated by compressed air. Both are solid lockers that have been proven to work. Both lockers will cost you around the same for just the locker itself...around $800 or so. But the ARB can cost a bit more because you will need an air compressor to use it. Then you have labor on top. Unless you have done a locker install and you know what you are doing.. I would recommend getting a pro to put it in as you can blow up a diff real easy.

 

Yeah Largemouth is pretty much right on... Some people feel that ARB is better quality but it also depends on how often your gonna use it... But under 3k installed would be fesible
