Actually got my oil changed today!
They probably do monitor your oil life through OnStar, however that is simply a matter of holding the reset button to start the oil life over again. I don't think they can actually monitor the oil itself. All they know is how many miles it has been since the oil life monitor has been reset.

Solar,
GM will take the allegations very seriously. Be careful how you couch everything. Make suggestions not accusations. Some dealers do this type of stuff and I got a service manager at a Chevrolet dealership fired over it. This is like doctors doing Medicare fraud and in these days of billion dollar losses the big car makers aren't going to take this stuff lightly. You might be able to shame the dealer/GM into doing something for you but unless you can prove damages you probably won't be in line for much. By GM making your car right and going after the dealer they would have done what was expected of them. Push and try and see what they will do for you but don't spend any money until you get it from them.

I know...and that's what I'll probably do.....just let them know what I experienced....I'll just be happy when my 3 is all fixed......I'll be leaving in about 5 minutes to go get it done.....May the Hummer Gods be with me!!!!

Ok, to answer the questions:
The first oil change that was supposed to be done, was at 3417 miles. I usually don't go over 3000 miles, but I had to wait for the part to come in, before I went down to the Hummer Dealer. Besides I have owned over 50 vehicles and never seen such dirty oil come out of a new engine.......it only had 5200 miles on it today, when it was done. I'll get some pics.....and post them.
Second, I did mark all of my original parts with a paint dot. Nothing was touched or changed out. It's not hard to tell that they didn't change the oil, when the filter was never removed, the plug never taken out, and nothing was touched in the engine bay.
I'll update everyone once the 3 gets the rest of the service done tomorrow. The place that is fixing it couldn't believe what they did to the steering shafts.....it was a big safety concern of theirs...they didn't want me to drive on it....that's how bad it is.

WOW!!!! That's all I can say! I have a new truck! It runs and drives nice now.....
I scanned in the repair order, so all of you could see that I'm not crazy!
The dealership couldn't believe how bad the Hummer repairs were..........Check out what they wrote.....

I have pics on my phone of what happened to the upper steering shaft....because they lost the bushing...the hole oblonged and the washer started to eat through the knuckle.....and they had to actually adjust the power steering pump pulley, because Hummer dealer never did it.
i've had the power steering pump misalignment issue. I think that's more common then it should be.
You have had nothing but issues with that dealer from the beginning. It's starting to get old really fast. Have you gone to GM Customer Service yet? (yes, I said it).

The pic I posted was of the good dealership (Quirk) that fixed all the issues......
My thought is this: I will send a lengthy letter to the owner of the Hummer dealership, and ask him to contact me.
If I don't hear anything from him, I will then contact the salesman, who is great, and let him know what's been happening. If I do not get anywhere, I will then contact the BBB, GM Customer Service, and the GM Rep, if I can get a hold of him. I will explain that I just recently purchased a GM product (my H3. I had recently just sold my Dodge Rams and decided to try GM again) and did not need the treatment that I received from their Hummer dealership.
After being told that I should stay in the "kitchen" by their service advisor, I feel that I was discriminated against. And so on.....I'm gonna sit down and write down everything that has happened, and then I'll raise a stink! I'm just trying to decide how big of a stink I want to raise.......might invite the news stations to hear my story to. The dealership is big and there is absolutely no need for the treatment I received.....especially all of my wasted time of driving down there, for absolutely nothing.....
What do you guys think???
