Default ac issues.......

ok..last month the ac was working nicely....then this past week..nothing but warm air now at any position I set it at..i can turn the temperature up to 90 it would warm up,then turn it down to 60 theres a change but its not cold..i checked the Freon level its in the blue/ok zone,no leaks that I can see,the compressor kicks on and off...could it still be the ac/heater blend door actuators not opening and closing all the way???? I have a 2004 h2 with 88741 miles on it..had it for 3 years with no problems just that water getting in ..so far its the best running vehicle besides my 94 grand Cherokee I,ve bought..

Sounds like the blend door actiator. I had a similar problem last summer. I would have the ac on and it would be blowing heat on my feet. I changed the one behind the glove box and it cured the issue.

You can try disconnecting the battery and tying the cables together. Leave sit for a 1/2 hr. This will drain any capacitors that may be holding memory. After turn the key forward to start position without starting. But leave your ac/ heater controls off for a minute. This will allow the actuators to cycle and find their limits again. If it doesn't work. Time for new actuator.

I've done the reset I heard the doors set them selves..but no change in the temperature... I noticed the compressor would kick on for a sec, then off for a sec..repetitively.. I wonder if a sensor/switch gone bad on the compressor....

[QUOTE=djlowlife;326928]I've done the reset I heard the doors set them selves..but no change in the temperature... I noticed the compressor would kick on for a sec, then off for a sec..repetitively.. I wonder if a sensor/switch gone bad on the compressor....well the putting the 2 cables worked on clearing that check air suspension code..the actuator doors sounded like they were working...changed the ac switch and the plug..the compressor still cutting on and off,on and off...maybe its time for a professional....
