About oil guage
Either the stepper motor in the cluster is going bad-easy to replace, or the pressure sending unit is starting to go.
I was having issues with my oil gauge as well after changing my gauge face and needles. My battery died so I had to replace it. After installing a new battery the gauges all fixed themselves. You could try that, pull the positive battery cable and let it sit for a bit then reconnect. That may reset it.

I agree with Lojac idea. Oil in 80s is a high reading. Think of this, Do you routinely change oil is it black look under the filler cap does it have cruude or oil chunks clumped on it. if it does think of it as a blood clot you can get high readings when the oil is not flowing freely. meaning insure you have clean flowing oil a "clot in the system " could result in a high pressure reading. I wouldn't think changing out gauge look for the most obvious, change oil look at pressure reading any change . If you have a scan tool see it can read your oil presss and compare. disconnect sensor reconnect any changes? I run a wifi scan tool on my H3. and gives me oil press. reading on my iPhone. cool to have. if all else fails try lojacs idea removing the positive can reset the ECM erase trouble codes and reset your system. Its cheap and doest cost a thing just your time. hope it works out.
