Did anybody else see ABC World News tonight? It aired a segment about Jonathan Goodwin and his talents converting Hummer engines and trannys to Duramax Diesel engines, and then run them on vegetable oil, he says it doubles the mileage. And it shows an H1 burnin' rubber to no end.

Goodwin has done some amazing stuff but he has also made a lot of claims he hasn't been able to come through on.

 

What are the drawbacks (if any) to these conversions? Do they still put out the same amount of horsepower?

 

According to Goodwin, boost mileage from 9 to 12 MPG to 18 to 26 MPG. Base conversions boost HP to levels of 495 HP to up to 950 HP!! He juiced an Escalade to 1000 HP! He links a video of it smokin' major tires!

I saw that blurb, and the Black H1 burnout was righteous!

 

I think he said somewhere around $35,000. at the rate fuel is going up that could pay for itself in no time.

 

Just adding the 2x4x transfer case helps a lot. Many of the "chip" guys can get that type of HP for a flash upgrade.
