I have a 98 H-1 that will start but stalls after 5 - 10 secs. And then it will start and run just fine for a day or two. Or just driving along it just quits and will start and stall stuff as above.
I've replaced the fuel pump and filter with no help.
I looking for some ideas to what I should look for.
Anyone have some input

Could still be a fuel delivery issue but sounds like a PMD.

 

It was a loose connection on the ECU under the doghouse.

However, it was because I had previously disconnected it while installing my stereo system, but it could be slightly corroded. You could possibly get to it enough to wiggle it and push it in more just by removing the glove box.

 

Sorry, my last post should have started with "I had a similar problem..."

 

I have a 98 H1 also.
My problem was the PMD. After replacing it twice I placed a remote unit that is still working.

I have similar problem also ,runs fine,engine will stall,pull to side of road,starts right up.,,I was was thinking injector pump.

 

PMD is a pump mounted driver

 

what does it do..
