My 1998 has never had a problem with leaking tranmission fluid in the past then all of the sudden I notice a large puddle under it so I go on the hunt to find what is leaking and its the Trans.

So I fill it back up with seal refresher and stop leak and it leaks out again so I fill it up again and take it for a nice long drive put it back in the drive way NO LEAK! I am happy.

I leave it over night come out in the morning, not a drop on the drive way, I am still happy I got to work come home 12 hours later and it has all leaked out again>>>>>

Any one have any ideas? the strangest part is how it held overnight then leaked all day even thought the truck never moved!.

it is your dip stick tube seal. if the vehicle is on a slight down grade it will pour out from around the dip stick tube.if it is sittind on a flat on flat ground will most likely won't leak.

 

Thanks! Hummech, you could not be more right! It spent all winter in my garage ( level floor) and not a drop, but the leak started when I put it on the driveway, and it was backed in so the front is tipped down.

And I had already isolated the leak to the seal< man thats great, thanks for confirming what I fuigured was true befor I spent a bunch of money I didnt need to!
