Default 97 Honda civic radio install

OK, IT'S NOT MINE!

How in the hell do you remove the center faceplate on a 97 Honda Civic so that you can get the radio out? I know how to do the rest of it, but I just can't find anymore screws to that could be holding it in the dash and I'm afraid that I'm going to break if I keep pulling on it. (get out of the gutter!)

Nevermind, I found the instructions at www.installdr.com

Apparently this is going to get installed tonight! Have to remove the entire bottom part of the dash on both side just to get the stupid radio out!

Sawsall. Start by flipping it over, gut it up the middle, peel it open and remove the radio.

Couldn't resist. Sorry. [&o]
All my Hondas are over 40 years old, got only two tires, and no radio.

I know Doc, you should've heard me out in the garage cussing about Honda's and Jap Crap (not the same word, lol).

I was going to suggest a hammer but the sawsall is a better choice.

I have never seen a car that you had to take the whole dash apart to get the radio out. Usually you take 2 or 3 screws out, pop off the faceplate and there you go. Just keep shaking my head about it.

So did you finish? Does your teen terror still want to go 4 wheeling with you now that he has his radio in?

No radio until Saturday. Then this morning Radiohead tickets for Cleveland went on PREsale on their website. He wanted to argue with me that you can get them on Ticketmaster on Saturday. "They wouldn't sell tickets on Ticketmaster, that would be like selling out!" OMG, once I pulled up Ticketmaster and called him back and told him that they go on sale to the public Saturday at 1000 he was pi$$ed. Now he won't talk to anyone. GAWD, I can't wait until he has kids!!
