I need some advice on what to buy for my 07 hummer h3, i'm saving the PCM tune for when I upgrade to 35" tires. I already have a leveling kit. I was thinking new shocks to replace the factory ones, or full underbody protection. I would consider a winch but 500$ just isn't enough for that. Any information is appreciated!

 

Since I see ROCKs in the 2nd photo the first thing you should have bought was UCP!

Nothing but a tow truck will get you home if one of those bad boys hits your tcase or trans. Best OffRoad insurance there is!

 

Thats a good idea, because i've only had my hummer for 2 months and i've already had 3000$ in repairs... but I got it about 3g cheaper then I should have. Is there any recommended underbody protection?

 

CBUCP is best protection, but the OEM works well. I have the oem, but I have bent it.

 

The OEM UCP is pretty darn good. Then there are others that are better. It all depends on your budget and how/where/how much you will be wheeling.

 

I went sliders first, UCP second, Hunner skids 3rd (sold it before installing the Hunner skids). If you wheel on rocks, protection should be the first step.

 

that is a nice ride. I don't see too many other people with a yellow H3 on here. Unfortunately it wasn't my choice but It has grown on me. How did you get that Hummer logo on you rocker/side panels?

The HUMMER decal came with the car but its starting to chip/peel. How do you all feel about schwarttzy's skid plates, they seem like they cover alot more then OEM under body protection and for 320$ It seems like a good deal.

 

If you wheel in muddy, sandy or dirty conditions I would not want all that stuff packed up around my tcase/trans/motor insulating it and not letting the heat that is built up out.

Never been a fan of the flat, enclosed, non breathing skid plates. Jeep, HUMMER, GMC or otherwise.

Airflow = cooling.
