5 Speed Manual Clutch Question

5 Speed Manual Clutch Question
It's time to put a clutch in my Hummer. I have a 2006 Adventure with the 5 speed manual tranny. I am also running 35" tires. It has just started to slip. When I down shift from 5th gear to 4th gear on the highway and put my foot in it to pass, the clutch starts to slip. Its not bad, and its only if I'm on the gas hard when I let the clutch out from the downshift. If I go easy on it...its fine.
My question is this: Is the OEM clutch better than, lets say, a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch? It's going to run me about $1100 for the job at the dealer for an OEM replacement, or $550 for labor if I bring them my own clutch. I dont do any extreme offroading, but I do wheel the truck on occasion. I also dont tow anything huge. Just my small utility trailer and my tin boat in the summer time.
I just turned 77000 miles on the truck. I bought it a little over a year ago with 62000 on it. Im not sure what kind of driver had it before, or what was possibly towed with it. I can only speak for the last 15k miles.

I have a 2006 Adventure with the 5 Speed as well.
I just hit 62k and have owned it since new so I hope my clutch goes a little longer. I also have 35's on mine and these cars are a dog on the highway for sure but everytime I think of getting something with more power I stand back and look at this killer H3 and decide to keep it.
Keep us posted.

There are two common brands with the H3 application. First is LUK and the other is SACHS. They are pretty comparable price wise, but Im not sure how they are compared to each other, and compared to OEM. Not like its a 10 minute swap if I dont like it after its installed...
