Question 4WD Indicator Lights

I purchased a used 2006 H3 in November 2017. Since I bought it both the 4WD High and 4WD Low Lock indicator lights have been on. Not sure if it is locked in 4WD low, but I suspect it isn't as I have been driving it on the highway since purchasing it and haven't notice any sluggishness. However, from time to time I seem to notice a grinding/jumping when making turns from a parking spot. I haven't tried to disengage in anyway.... Can anyone provide any help

in 4 low on highway it would be screaming high rpm. in hi lock you are feeling it bind up and will damage the drivetrain. try the buttons after reading how to do it. get in 4 hi if u can.

Thanks happythree! RPM on Highway are normal, so i figured it wasn't locked in 4WD Low - thanks for confirming. But when I made turns from a stop it felt like it might be locked in low so I wanted to see if I was missing something. Any idea why both the 4WD High (not locked) and 4WD Low Lock indicators would be on at same time?

i think u r in 4hi lock because of fork trouble or shift motor.
try buttons and back up as suggested in the instruction book...

The prior owner was a slob and spilled pop, coffee, liquid something on the dash buttons, they get stuck or shorted.

Read the owner's manual, cycle the system from 4 hi, 4 hi lock, low lock on an appropriate surface (ie not dry pavement). See what that does.

Buy some electrical contact cleaner and follow the instructions to de-gunk the buttons.
