Seems the H3 attracts all the rocks,had too replace windsheild this week from rock chip (cracked).Fourth windsheild!(Thank god i have full glass coverage thru Allstate! I have an 08!Any Suggestions?Input?

 

You're not 'attracting' any more rocks then other vehicles. It's just that the near vertical windshield on our H3's doesn't let them deflect off like the angled windshields in everything else. One of the drawbacks of the design that makes the HUMMER unique.

I agree..............It is apparent that you are a tailgate driver. A danger to yourself and others....................How else would you get so many rocks and debris thrown up into your windshield to warrant replacing 4 times........

 

I had to have the windshield replaced on my 08 last month... I wish it was from a rock. Instead, I managed to take out a turkey vulture in flight. He flew in from the right and got the passenger side. Almost made it all the way through. And the smell... I swear I can still smell it despite thorough washes of the vehicle, interior and use of every chemical I could find.

Be thankful for rocks.

Damage...

 

My windshield looks pretty bad too and I'm still on my first. In certain light it looks like a damn frosted shower door.
I did notice a decrease in debris hitting the windshield after I installed a EGR bug shield.
I painted it body color so it blends in as best it can.
It does seem to direct some if not most of the crap coming over that grille and hitting this brick of a windshield.
I am ready to pull the trigger on a new windshield and I have gotten estimates of about $250.00
