Not sure if it has been tried but have them put it up on a hoist and run it in the air to see if it happens and find where it is coming from. this will also eliminate tire/wheel noise. X2 on finding someone with Chassis ears if the hoist run doesn't find anything. We typically try these two things and are successful.

This has been happening since late November. We are 2 months in now, with maybe 2,000 miles. Was your problem the same exact issue? Same noise?

Ice would not be an issue because of weather during the last 2 months. We have had 60 degree days when it was making this noise.

I may have to take it to another shop, but hate to put out the money when it was supposed to be covered under their warranty. I love the vehicle, not a single complaint except for the noise that makes me feel like I am driving a junker.

I am going to take all of the suggestions here and put them on paper, see what exactly they have/have not actually done. The last time with the "heat shield" explanation, I really felt like I was getting the run around from them.

Thank you again, for all of the input. If I get this resolved, I will be sure to post it and keep an eye out for anyone having a similar issue, to help them out. If anyone else has any idea, please post it up here, because I want to cover all of the bases.

Been keeping notes and wanted to add that every once in a while, when braking, the vehicle will pull to the left pretty good. They claim the brakes are 75% and all is well, could this be caused by a bad bearing??? Not all of the time, maybe 3 out of 10 stops, when coming to a traffic light, it will pull to the left.

Yep, a bearing will make it pull.

Yes my noises were the same. I probably drove around 18-2500km after i started hearing the noise. Started as a whining and i blamed the brakes. But it got worse until it was more of a whirring and finally a grinding or rubbing noise. It also pulled a little right and was the passenger side bearing. I noticed the pulling more over bumps and when slowing down. The noise was also worse when turning.g left and driving straight.

i have seen many a wheel bearing(sealed hub style like these) that are quiet until they warm up....when they get bad enough, then they could cause vehicle to pull but if you ignore them until they get that bad...you would have to be deaf...can be deceiving which side though....jack up suspect wheel and grasp tire at top and bottom and rock in and out to check for wheel bearing play( IE as you push in at top of wheel be pulling out at bottom and vice versa)
