Awesome...can't go wrong with fried. What kind of scatter gun do you have? All I have is my grandad's Remington 1100 12 ga., with a modified barrell. So i just drop in #4 high brass shells for the gobblers. It's old, but it does the job.

I'm having the piggy made into breakfast sausage, summer sausage, italian sausage, tamales, ground pork, and tiny cutlets from the long straps.

Yep...361 miles. I've never even gotten over 320. The ol' H3 must be a little more broken in or something. We took a trip down to Freer (Texas) for opening day of Turkey Season. The H3 was awesome on our 860 mile round-trip. The leather and the XM make these trips much easier. Of course, there's also plenty of room to bring back piggies like this...got him with a knife. No $hit. 153 lb. wild hog.

I am completely repulsed by the senseless killing of innocent animals for the fun and enjoyment of the sport. I am very disturbed by these images...........

So, WHEN CAN WE EAT???????

It's really strange, some blokes are claiming 12-14 MPG avg. and others are getting way more..

My 07 H3 was about 2 months old when I drove it from Dallas to New Orleans to see my family and show'em my new ride. Me and the wife and a little 8 pound Pomeranian cutie...

Anyway, I topped the tank off until I could see the fuel at the filler cap, reset my Trip Meter and hit I-20. I purposely cruised no faster than 70. I was really surprised when I got down to a little under a 1/4 tank and stopped to refuel. My mileage was 361 miles and I retopped the tank and it was 18.1 gallons. Blew me away, right at 20MPG and that was right after my first oil change at 2800 miles.

On the way home, I did the same thing except this time I ran about 75 most of the way, mileage dropped to about 17MPG.

I was very pleased with the mileage. I don't know if it's going to get any better or worse. Time will tell, granted the trip was near flat highway with few hills and altitude ranged from 600ft ASL to 9ft. below sea level.

That was a bone stock H3. No Adventure package. I'm making my next excursion this May out to Moab, I've got the Magnaflow exhaust and just ordered my PCMforless tweak and I have a K&N OEM replacemnt filter. I'm still toying with cutting the K&N 63-1095 tube to see if I can make it fit the 07 H3 and keep my stock breather box and get rid of the accordian intake tube and resonator box. Really curious to see if the exhaust, PCM update and filter makes a difference. I know it should pull up the mountains a lot better with the goodies, but I have a long trip of fairly flat roads headed west out of Dallas so I should be able to get a good idea of the mileage on that portion. I know my mileage will suck when I get into the mountains but then again, what the hell, I'm taking the Hummer to the promised land!

Hey HummerGuy,

That looks a lot like our little Pom... She's a little more blond that that pic. 8 pounds of romping stomping hell! She loves crusin with us too. However, we won't be taking her to Moab this May, afraid she may fall off a cliff.

Tell me about it. I never owned a dog until I married my wife, who has this male beast. It pees all over the place, it takes 10 minutes to calm down when you come back home to it, and if you leave for 5 minutes, it acts like you have been gone for 10 days. Here is our other beast:

She howls at any moving object, but doesn't go around peeing on everything. We are actually getting a fence installed next week for them. They barely get out since it's been so cold, but now I'm warned about the big birds that come out in the summer that can possibly be a threat to them and try to attack them.

I really need to get used to this living in the country thing

You don't have any pics of yours?
