Default 35 inch tire not fitting on h3?

Hopefully somebody can help me. I have a 06 hummer h3 lifted 2'5 inches. I recently bought 20x8.5 10mm 775s and 35/12.50R20 nitto trail grapplers. I go to get them installed and I'm being told I need to have the truck lifted more and possibly need spacers? Is that normal for the combination. Everything I've researched on multiple sites say this would fit (with normal rubbing in lock) should I buy the pieces the shop says I need or head somewhere else?

I've had 35s on my H3, and my wife has swapped them onto her H3 too with no problems beyond the side biter tread rubbing at full lock. My 33s did the same, but at stock height on my wife's truck the 35's barely touched the sway bar until I raised the front to 23.25". This was on the stock rims though.

I'm assuming you made certain the offset and center opening were the correct size?
If memory serves me.....

I've got the same set up you just bought except for tires, I have 35" TOYO. I had discount tire tell me they wouldn't fit, went to another tire shop and they installed them with no issues. Ive had them on for about a year now with no issues.

I too have the same setup except in a 17" wheel/tire. Still got some minor rubbing at full lock (nothing serious at all)

I had 18s and 35s, and I had mine installed at discount tire with no problems. I ran those for several years with no problems.

The rubber will fit. Your trouble is caused by your rim selection.

The tire will fit but the rims backspacing could be an issue.

Do you have the backspace specs?

Problem was solved. Took it to a guy not far from there. Cranked it up a little more in the front and everything was fine

Thanks for the replys

I hope you (or this someone) measured how much you lifted the front. If you go too far you'll start tearing up the front end.
