Fireman .. you need to open up them blues and re-read my posts bro .. I never said ban or remove entirely, that's a construct of YOUR mind, not mine. And lets face the facts here, we can go on for ever and then some and never agree on this. I'm not brought up in the US and I don't share the ideologies ya'll have here as far as guns and wars go ... but do yourself a favor and listen and have an open mind, one of these days it may just prove to be worth something to you, regardless of subject. Dismisal without contemplation is the same thing as ignorance and it only labels you, not me .. and the little I've seen and heard from you prior to this thread... it's not how I had you pegged at all!

This thread is too long to re-read..

But Ted Nugent put it pretty good last night..

The VA Tech campus was suppose to be gun sterile...we know what happened..

A few miles down the road a couple of weeks ago where guns were not banded from the establishment, a standby person thwarted a gun massacre by shooting the perp with his concealed weapon...

So I'm not taking sides...I don't know the right answers hereand don't pretend to either....I don't carry my gun in public for the simple reason I'm afraid I might have to use it, but the other side of me wonders if I'll ever regret not having it...It's a quandry[&:]

I think we can all agree on ONE factor here (at least most of us):

IF somebody wants a gun BAD enough, they will be able to get one eventually, regardless of how easy or hard it is, how much time it takes and how big or small it is, they WILL eventually get it IF they try hard enough. It only takes one bullet from one gun to kill someone, regardless of what kind or what size. NO MATTER WHAT LAW WE HAVE OR DON'T HAVE!

Am I right? Would you all agree?

Agreed .. and I don't think I contested this as I think, again, they are an unfortunate necessity ... but I don't think the issue ishandled in a very good fashion which is a dieted down version of what I've said all along LOL!

Canadian Beer!? Now that's a contradiction if I've ever heard one ... hehehehehe Almost as bad as American beer ... :P With a couple of exceptions .. Sam Adams .. and I do have to admit I like a Moosehead every once in a while too .. the rest you can put back with the other bottled water products :-)

Oh, I'm sorry to mislead... , I have not read any of the posts you posted in here (or any others posts), other than your reply to my post. As my post clearly stated, up front, I was just posting my opinion on the subject of gun control being an issue every time something like this happens. All the lemmings head for the same cliff with the same tired old song.. and it's already starting to bleed into the reporting, as usual. If you thought I was replying to you personally, I wasn't.. I just used the "quick reply" feature, and I will have to check, but if you were the last to post, then it would have used you ID as towhom I replied, by default.

I'm also not here to argue about it, either. In fact, if it wasn't clear to me that you thought I had read your posts and was replying to you, I wouldn't have posted anything else. I don't exect to change your opinion any more than you can expect to change mine. And you won't, because the reality is, I kneel in the blood of many victims of violent acts.. and have seen all too many methods used to create it. I still say the root of the problem is the person behind the weapon, no matter what it is. Too much energy wasted on the wrong issue, when the realissue is there are crazy people in the world.. and they will do things like this. We don't have to like it, but it's going to happen again and again.. no matter how we feel about it. Sad, hell yeah it's sad.. but we can either deal with it and go on, or slit our wrists and give up.

I'll be the one wheeling, and playing with my kiddos and enjoying the company of my wonderful wife.. because I've seen too much bad to sit around worrying about it, and how to stop it. I know too well that just about any energy spent on it, is wasted, although noble. So, I do my best to keep my family away from it, and apart of it.. and hope for a peaceful existance with those I love and care about. Family, good friends and fun times.. until the man upstairs says it's time for me to leave.

Because that's all I can do.
