Got my lower light bar installed. 30" single row 5W Cree. Ended up having to remove the entire front bumper, since my Alpha has a pre-radiator fan shroud between the grille and the radiator that prevented me from removing the lower grille piece (trust me, I tried). Bumper removal was actually easier than I anticipated; 8 bolts and 4 clips, and ultimately was the right way to do it, since it took some work to get the bar mounted inside the bumper; I never would have been able to do it with the bumper in place. Had to trim a couple of slots in the shroud for the light bar to fit (shown below in red), and then bend and twist the brackets a bit to fit against the inner metal bumper supports (sorry, no pics of that part). Turned out nice, and still leaves half of the opening for airflow.







I really like the thin profile of the single row,and the 5W Cree LEDs give nearly as much light as a typical double row using 3W LEDs. Got a 50" single row unit on the way, should be arriving this week, to go on my G2 mounts. The pair will give me nearly 40,000 lumens/400Watts of LED lighting!
