Default 295/65 on a 7.5" wide wheel

Any thoughts on how good-of-an-idea it is to put a 295/65 on a 7.5" wide wheel when the manufacture recomends a width of 8 to 10?

If you are talking about a 295/65R18 then yes they will fit on a 7.5" OEM HUMMER 18" rim.

I currently have 35x12.50r16 tires on the factory 7.5" wide wheels, no problems here, and no problems anywhere else because tons of people do it.

WOW, I'm usually NOT a fan of 18s and larger rims but that looks good! Probably because they are HUMMER rims and have the stock offset.

Good work!

Thanks man. And the amazing thing is, here in NYC, at city traffic speed the ride is a lot smoother.

Only down side is Im getting a lot (more than usual for a T) of attention, I saw a baby girl no more than 2yrs, with a ballon, point at the truck! I hope that doesnt translate into quickly loosing my wheels over night .
So i just put an OEM wheel lock kit on; what do yawl think about adding at least one more lock kit? -Will it be alright to wheel if I have only 4 non-lock-lugs on?

Cant wait to try them out on the trails!
