2009 Mirror Motors - Noise But No Movement
So both exterior mirror motors make noise when using the buttons to adjust them up/down and side/side but they don't move. Just a quick search through this forum suggests mirror motor failure is very common!
My question is - is it normal for the mirror motors to continue to make noise after they break?? I tried pushing on the mirror while also pressing the adjustment button with the intention of hearing the gears pop or catch but the mirror just moves freely and loose.
I've ordered another motor for testing so I'll report back.

Having studied them in detail, I've never seen a broken mirror motor, usually it's the plastic drive gears that fail, that said I've never seen an 08/09 mechanism.
So, if you can, please post some pics of yours ✔️
Also do you have a part number for the motor and source?

GM only sells these as an entire assembly. $2000 CAD for a pair, or $1600 USD here in Canada.
Maybe cheaper in the USA?
They said nothing about motors being available separately, but mine is an 07
Then there is the wrecker.
but why both out at the same time? Suggest a different problem. Cycle the fold and unfold functions so the mirrors can index themselves properly. There is info somewhere how to do that when they are bumped out of position (out of gear)

Well I ordered part #19167560 from a reseller on eBay on 06/20/23 and while they created a label, UPS is still waiting for the package. I followed up with the reseller today to ask when they plan to ship it out.
As soon as I get it in, I will pull it apart and take some detailed photos. The mirrors fold in and out just fine.
I was referencing this thread for the part number and installation: https://www.hummerforums.com/forum/h...acement-30899/

Your P/No looks good, a great find !
The description of "Motor" suggests the little motors inside, but it's actually the complete movement, which is great!
I'd say you're well on the way to fixing your mirrors👍
From web photos, this later mechanism appears to be a "hybrid" of a Tahoe Suburban and early Hummer models, the latter had push-on spade connectors, whereas the former have a simple plug, as does yours (it appears) I've actually been able to rebuild the early mechs by taking the gears etc from Tahoe's.
It would be interesting to know this later mech would physically fit an earlier H2 mirror housing, it would be relatively easy to fit a plug.
If your new ones work ok, perhaps you'd consider shipping out your old ones for research?
I've done a lot of work on mirrors, but being in the UK I don't get much access to other H2's (only 55 here) - willing to pay the shipping ✔️

Good idea @oceanbrave . If @Dakintosh would send you the old motors, maybe you could find out if they can be adapted to fit the 03-07 model. That would be excellent info for all.
I for one would sure like to know, as I am sure this part will break sooner or later. And year-specific parts are getting really hard to find.
Thanks guys.

Hi Guys!!!
So I canceled and requested a refund for the motor I originally ordered and just ordered one from Amazon. Should be here Friday. I'd be more than happy to ship the broken one out. I'd just like some time to do a little tweaking with it myself.

New motor went in pretty easily. I hated removing the glass it was an absolute pain. It works well now! I plan on ordering another one because the driver’s side is also broken but I didn’t want to buy two parts if I got the part number wrong.
Anyway, I have the broken passenger side motor if you’d still like me to ship it over to you!

so to be clear you ordered 19167560 but which model or mirror was it
was it the older style that angles out at the base or the newer flag pole style with the embossed H2 logo on the chrome banner.
