2008 H3A in Oklahoma
Hey everyone. My name is Loren, I have been sober for elev.......oh wrong introduction.
Anyhow, my name IS Loren and I am coming to you live from Tulsa Oklahoma, America's Heartland and the Buckle of the Bible Belt. I purchased an H3 Alpha this year to be the tow rig for my company's trail rig (1992 Jeep XJ).
I have always liked the H3 and when I found out (years ago) that they came in a V8 model.... I had to have one. I have been using F/S Chevrolet trucks or Suburbans to tow my Jeep around and though I have yet tow the Jeep with the H3, I thought it could handle it just fine, so I bought a cherry little 77k, two owner. The first owner had it since it was new and traded it in at the stealership he bought it from and the 2nd owner had it for less than 6 months (found out he couldn't make the payments) and I swooped in and snagged it for $14,500 (the payoff on the loan).
So far, nothing major has been done to it... Flexible antenna, torsion bar 'lift', computer performance tuned and a couple of the V8 Alpha badges. The future plan is to put some agressive 33-35's on it (debating on Swampers or Kumho's MT) and I own a decal cutter and I am going to make a personalized company version of the H3 Champion Series decal for the hood and maybe something down low on the doors that is kinda H1-ish and that is about it. 99% of the time it is going to be promoting the company and the remaining 1% will be showing people that the H3 really is a good little offroad vehicle and not the 'Soccer Mom-mobile" everyone keeps calling it!
